History of MacLean Law Group
In 2006 the award winning boutique family law firm of MacLean Family Law Group invested in the people of the North by buying land and building a state of the art new law office in the heart of downtown Fort St John.
The office has been extremely busy since it opened and we have assisted hundreds of family law client’s in the North peace area.
We attribute our success on behalf of our clients in the Fort St John area to our philosophy.
Legal Team
Lorne MacLean has focused on building a strong team of associates including Shelagh Kinney, James Cudmore, and Manny Witzman, Michael Jakeman, who will handle cases involving family lawand criminal law issues, associate Sumit Ahuja who is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi and will be handling family law and immigration related cases and Articled student Ronak Yousefi, fluent in Farsi and Spanish who will be called as an associate lawyer in July 2011, who will handle family law and immigration related matters as well as articling students Ari Wormeli and James Macdonnell. The MacLean Family Law Group has 3 offices that are located in downtown Vancouver, in South Surrey BC and in Fort St. John in the North Peace region of British Columbia. Appointments are also available in Penticton, British Columbia and the firm plans to open an interview office there in 2011.
Lorne MacLean is delighted to have partnered with Doug Conolly to lead our ICBC and personal injury team for our Fort St John Office and he brings the synergy to us of McQuarrie Hunter who has 8 very experienced lawyers in their personal injury department plus numerous support staff with extensive experience with ICBC claim and personal injury range from soft tissue injury claims to traumatic brain injury. McQuarrie Hunter has ready access to a wide range of specialists and experts, including engineers, physiatrists, psychiatrists, psychologists, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons and neurologists to assist in advancing successful personal injury claims which provides us with unique insight and expertise when dealing with ICBC and other personal injury matters.
A firm is more than just lawyers, and quality legal support staff are often the most important contacts for our clients on a daily basis. For that reason Lorne MacLean has hired intelligent and empathetic support staff including paralegals, Rosanna Lin and legal assistants Julie Dadgar, Elana Mckenzie and Candice Pappenberger as well as Office administrator Tamara Dawson and administrative assistant Lori Olsen and practicum paralegal students who we are training to join us .
